Assist. Prof. Dr. Pınar ÇAKIR HATIR’s HORIZON 2020 Success

A proposal submitted to the European Commission’s HORIZON 2020 ERA-NET Programme by a consortium in which Assist. Prof. Dr. Pınar ÇAKIR HATIR of the Department of Biomedical Engineering is a project partner has been granted funding. With the project “Nanofabricated nanocomposite nanobioactive and nanofunctional replacements of tympanic membrane as advanced drug delivery and regenerative platforms” submitted to the EURONANOMED (European Innovative Research & Technological Development Projects in Nanomedicine), it is aimed to develop biomimetic scaffolds for tympanic membrane. The project consortium consists of 6 institutes (SMEs, universities and research consortiums) from 4 countries which are Italy (Consorzio Interuniversitario Nazionale per la Scienza e Tecnologia dei Materiali and Linari Engineering s.r.l.), Germany (Technische Universität Dresden and MJR Pharmjet GmbH) and Turkey (Istanbul Arel University). Assist. Prof. Dr. Pınar ÇAKIR HATIR received a share of 392.120 TL funding from a total of 1.023.382 Euro budget. Assist. Prof. Dr. Pınar ÇAKIR HATIR attended the Kick-Off meeting carried out in Pisa, Italy on 24 March 2018 and represented Istanbul Arel University.
